DIY workshops for Little Wool Factories Wool Mondays - MAKE Day

WOOL MONDAYS

For Wool Mondays, which take place on three Mondays in May, the shemakes network invites you to discover and dig into one wool-related topic at a time through convivial talks and hands-on workshops that will be hosted online and in different locations

Little Wool Factories, are imagined as local spaces where people can process wool with accessible machines and tools. This day focuses on the “make” theme of our exploration with the construction of a series of open-source tools. Learn how to make your own wooden tools for every stage of the wool chain, from carding to spinning, and weaving to knitting.Online participants will have the chance to listen to a series of talks about the importance of open source and watch several wool tool demonstrations from various countries. Then, they will be connected to live workshops and be able to see people&#x27;s making. Some guidelines will be sent prior to the workshop for participants who want to make tools and process wool in their local settings. Three lenses shape our collective explorations: place, design, make.
