The Peninsula Foundation is a non-profit organization located in the Village of Peninsula, in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The Foundation is dedicated to preserving the heritage, maintaining the character and promoting the vitality of Peninsula, Ohio and the Cuyahoga Valley by engaging the community through arts and educational programming and historic preservation.The G.A.R. Hall is an all wood structure built in 1851, preserved and maintained by the Peninsula Foundation. It provides a unique, intimate space to see live musical and theatre performances. The Foundation presents nearly 170 musical performances per year through its Voices in the Valley music program. In honor of the buidling's history as a meeting place for the veterens of the Grand Army of the Republic, the Foundation also presents a Civil War lecture series 6 months of the year.
