Founded in 1974 by Richmond Symphony Principal Violist Raymond Montoni, the Richmond Chamber Players is the longest-running chamber music ensemble in Richmond. The group was officially incorporated in 1977 and, at the time, was the only dedicated presenter of chamber music in the area.

Since its inception, the Richmond Chamber Players has remained committed to fostering the art and appreciation of chamber music throughout the community. Now in operation for nearly 50 years, RCP continues to enrich the region’s cultural life with passionate performances that celebrate both tradition and innovation.
