I'm BoB, the director of It Begins in Brockport (IBiB), a makerspace in Brockport, NY. Our emphasis is on providing the community with the opportunity to use digital fabrication tools like 3D printers and laser cutters in making crafts and solving problems. We promote intergenerational making, which is coming together with all ages of makers so that we can foster creativity and innovation. We have memberships for people who have their own projects in mind. For the rest, we offer *FREE* workshops that introduce participants to the design and fabrication process. We also do outreach to local libraries and other venues to promote DIY, STEM education, lifelong learning, and simply enjoying how the maker movement can bring people together to have some fun.
