Trio Bórea

Bórea is a chamber music group founded with the aim of exploring the development of new interaction models with the audience and developing new experiences using digital media applied to classical music. The project focuses on assessing the importance of bringing the figure of the great composers of history closer to the public and understanding them, not only in their historical context but also on a personal level. Using biographical and epistolary resources, the group builds a story that links the personal experiences of the composers with their artistic creations.

The members are Clara Mascaró (viola), Julia Caro (cello), and Brais González (piano). Clara and Julia met while studying music performance at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón, where they developed a great passion for chamber music under the guidance of the Quiroga String Quartet, and the idea of creating a professional group in the future was born. After several years of studying and perfecting their skills abroad, in 2019, they decided to meet again to create Bórea together with pianist Brais González, launching the first of their projects, Alte Liebe, an interactive documentary focusing on the figure of Clara Schumann, and the relationship she had with her husband Robert and with Johannes Brahms which aims to explain, using the new digital consumer media, the compositions of these three musicians through an immersion in their lives contextualized by their correspondence and their biographies. The project includes both original repertoire for the formation and arrangements made by Brais González of some other works by these three composers.
