Valentina Acava is a writer, educator and activist. She has worked for over 20 years with immigrants and refugees using drama and writing to overcome the complex experience of migration. She advocates to raise awareness on FGM/GBV and migration related issues. She has published several books and staged different plays among which IMigrant Woman (EMI2004), The Cut (Kabiliana 2016) staged in different countries.
